‘Doubling Down with the Derrico’ Spoilers finds that since Deon Derrico is such a stickler about his new dog not soiling the house, one of the kids had to come up with a solution so that their new family member, Gigi the dog, wouldn’t be left out in the cold.
Oldest daughter Darien came up with the idea that maybe they could put a pull-up on Gigi and that would solve the problem of her potentially soiling the house. There are a lot of households that come up with his solution every day, but Karen was quick to shoot it down. Although, Deon thought it was a wonderful idea.

However it was a fail because unlike actual dog diapers, child pullips were not meant for dogs and Gigi managed to wiggle out of it because in spite of everyone saying that she was possibly too big for the diaper, it was just the right size. But the fact that she’s an active dog and the fact that she has a tail that was constantly wagging kind of got in the way of Darien’s clever idea.
In the end, the pullip ended up on the floor. Deon however suggested that they try out actual doggy diapers instead. Karen said that they needed to save the money for actual diapers for their actual babies.
It looks like Karen still isn’t too sold on this idea of having a dog at all, she did previously say that she wasn’t “there yet” in terms of being good with Gigi the Dog, but she said that she will appreciate anything that makes her children happy so while she appreciates Gigi she just hasn’t reached the level of “dog lover” yet.
She never mentioned anything abuot having a pet growing up, so maybe that’s it, maybe Karen just can’t quite relate to having a pet because she never owned one. But she’s not about to deprive her kids of that luxury, which is a good thing. Still, we hope that Gigi the dog can manage to win over Mom soon, because she does have the cutest smile, and she does absolutely love the children. Stay tuned!!!
