After several weeks, a verdict in Harvey Weinstein‘s second sexual assault case was reached: the infamous movie mogul was found guilty on three of seven accusations.
A jury convicted Weinstein guilty of all charges relating to Jane Doe 1 — forced rape, forcible oral copulation, and sexual penetration by a foreign object — and the judgment was just read in Los Angeles. The jury deadlocked on Jane Doe counts 2 and 4, which were sexual battery by constraint, forcible oral copulation, and forcible rape. He was found not guilty of a charge of sexual battery by constraint brought by Jane Doe 3.
Weinstein‘s rep, Juda Engelmayer made the statement that “Harvey is obviously disappointed in the verdict … however, the accounts of Jane Doe 1 have a high likelihood of an appeal with positive results — her logistics of the time and location of the incident do not make sense. Harvey is grateful for the jury’s work on the other counts and he’s going to continue his legal fight.”
Harvey Weinstein Found GUILTY Of Rape And Other Charges In Los Angeles!
As you may know, the disgraced film producer was originally charged with 11 counts of rape and sexual assault in California involving five people… but four of the charges related to one of the unnamed accusers were dismissed during the trial.
He filed a not-guilty plea while appearing in court in 2021, which was expected given how he’d pled in the past.
This verdict comes after weeks of testimony from various witnesses over the years … including CA Governor Gavin Newsom’s wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom. As we reported, she reportedly was asked in court to replicate how she faked an orgasm with Weinstein. She fired back when asked, saying through tears, “This is not ‘When Harry Met Sally.’ I’m not doing that. I was making noises to get him to finish. He had already raped me. This is so gross.”
