Kaja Sokola, who reportedly accused Harvey Weinstein of sexually assaulting her, has opened up on the terrible ordeal.

According to reports, the incident was alleged to have happened when she was just 16 -years-old. She came across the disgraced movie producer in 2002 during the course of an event that was for modelling.
And as she had an interest in acting, it is claimed that Weinstein had invited her for lunch. Rather than having some food, though, it is alleged that he had molested the star. Subsequently, it is claimed she tried to leave, before Weinstein prevented her, as she resisted. And looking back, this was a very difficult period in her life.
In her comments, she said: “It’s been very tough for a long time. When you are a kid you don’t know any better, at least me, I was full of trust…So, yes, it definitely harmed me in many ways and I’m not talking just about sexual abuse, I’m talking about ripping up my dreams, my dignity, my self.”
Nevertheless, she has managed to use that horrific experience in a way that can impact her life positively. She expanded on how the incident made her more self-aware of the relationships she had in her life.
In addition, it is claimed that she is in the process of getting a book together, which will no doubt document her experiences. In this way, her story will serve as an example to others that may have experienced similar things.
She added: “I know that so many choices I made later in my life, relationships that I was continuing, were based on the trauma, co-dependency and emotional abuse.”
Kaja has shown a lot of courage in speaking out about this, as there was no obligation on her to do this. And that is something that she should be commended for in light of what she had recounted.
