Jussie Smollett has released a new song almost right after he walked out of jail where he addresses his court case and how he’s been wrongly accused. The former ‘Empire’ star released a single Friday called “Thank You God” and some of the lyrics follow his recent circumstances.
In the song, Jussie sings the lyrics, “Some people chasing that clout / Just remember this … this ain’t that situation / You think I’m stupid enough to kill my reputation?” This alludes to his belief that he was falsely accused and that he would never concoct such a stupid plan where he hires people to fake beat him up.

Jussie Smollett Drops New Song After His Release From Jail
This comes on the heels of his jail release as he’s been out for about three weeks. He dedicates the song to “the people who kept it real, who kept it true” and all of the profits from the new song will go to the Rainbow Push Coalition, Secure the Bag Safety and The Illinois Innocent Project.
Can we just take a moment to revel in this man’s dedication? This man hired two people to beat him up, claimed they were Trump supporters, tied a noose around his neck, and he kept it on until he got home so he could “show the cops”.
He continues to plead his innocence when the court system didn’t find him innocent. While he continues to try to get his hoax sentence overturned, we all know what the facts are. He’s a fool and this is a pathetic grab for attention while he has the spotlight on him.
What do you think? Can you believe he’s trying to maintain his innocence after all of this? Let us know in the comments below.
