Bam Margera broke his wrist and dislocated his elbow in a skateboarding accident and while his recovery is going to be long, it won’t include any prescription pain killers. Why? Because Magera is an addict and he wants to remain clean as he attends AA.
The ‘Jackass’ star suffered the injuries after he fell off his skateboard trying to do a trick he hadn’t done in years, and unfortunately, he fell awkwardly bending his arm backward with the bone nearly piercing through his skin. The accident happened while he was on a 30-minute break from the AA meeting he was in across the street.
Bam Margera NOT Taking Pain Killers After Breaking His Wrist And Dislocating Elbow
Bam says this is the TENTH time he has broken the same wrist, this recovery is going to be different as he’s not going to be taking any pain medication because he’s an addict in recovery. He recently completed a year of drug and alcohol treatment in Florida and is looking forward to staying on the wagon and continuing on with his classes. He doesn’t want to derail that progress, so Bam plans to grin and bear the pain, naturally.
He posted a photo on Instagram in his new cast and we wish him the best. Just over a year ago, Bam was in a very rough place mentally and we’re glad to see him doing so well. Best of luck with the injury and we’ll be cheering you on as you continue your recovery.
