NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal we’ve had some questionable behavior lately. Especially when it comes to the Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney)/Lucas Horton (Brian Dattilo) affair. We wrote before about Sami and how she made one of the most questionable decisions over that letter.
She’d allowed it to sit, unattended, in the fireplace while she answered a call from her son. But someone else just did something even worse. It’s almost like their secret isn’t meant to stay that way. Let’s see what happened and why someone should have known better.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The thief
First, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate the writers did a slight misdirection when they followed up on the mystery hand rescuing the letter. They made it seem like Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) was the one who took the letter.
It wasn’t. Instead, Lucas was the culprit. This was a questionable decision for a couple of reasons. But what could we expect from the guy who faked a brain tumor under pressure?
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The mistakes
His first mistake was going to EJ DiMera (Dan Feurriegel) with the letter. Fate intervened when Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow) arrived, saving Lucas from making the big reveal. Later, during a talk with Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson), he realized the error of his ways.
If he reveals the affair, Sami will never forgive him. She’d made it clear she wants to preserve what she has with EJ, and interfering with that is not the way back into her life. So, he chose not to show EJ the letter.
His other mistake? Carrying the letter around in his jacket pocket. Seriously, he should have left and destroyed that thing as soon as he realized Sami wouldn’t forgive him. Because how are they going to explain it if the letter did get out?
She’d have to realize it’s someone with access to the mansion, and she already knows Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) wouldn’t do it. But there was a bigger one, and we think he’ll be sorry later.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Who’s worse?
In this case, we’re going to have to say Lucas is the one who made the biggest error. Sure, Sami left the letter burning as she walked away. But at least she actually tried to destroy it.
Lucas just crumbled it up and threw it in a trash can. That was bad enough. Even worse is, he did it in front of Philip. The same guy who was practically begging him to hand the letter to Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) to do the dirty work for them. Again, questionable, as how would Nicole get it?
But the point is, Philip now has the letter and will probably do just that. So, now Lucas has just ensured some bad times ahead. We hope he’ll think it’s worth it later, because EJ’s reaction in the weekly looked pretty extreme.
