NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) Return & Why growing up DiMera is bad for your soul

‘Days of Our Lives (DOOL)’ spoilers reveal we see nature trumping nurture when it comes to the DiMera family. Today’s episode was actually a great example of that, and why we think this family’s upbringing just has them doomed to constantly make mistakes. Let’s take a look at what happened and why we’re rooting for a certain person in all this.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The return

First, Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) recently came back to Salem to bring Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) back home to Italy. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) had a few things to say to her daughter about this, as she didn’t approve of the way this sudden move was coming off. Sami tried to defend it, but we really think Marlena might be on to something here.

See, during a conversation between EJ and Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis), Tony came off as a bit of a user. Not to mention, they both came off as Elitist, as they bonded over how a Mechanic named Jake is running the business.

Tony took the opportunity to point out that EJ is the only other one who can take DiMera from this low-class interloper. See, he’s perfectly happy to soak up the DiMera money while doing nothing for it. And keep the wife happy at the same time.

EJ eventually agreed. This is where we have a problem.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Low class

First, we have the fact EJ eventually agreed to this. Without talking to Sami first. Sure, she’s been in Salem for a minute now, but they had a life in Italy, and at least one child is still living there. He went on about how sorry he was for his behavior, but then turned around and made such a huge decision on his own.

And now just expects Sami to go along with it. We don’t care how Tony sold her being happy around family and friends, this is still a conversation that should have happened first.

Secondly, he’s yet another one who’s judging Jake and mistreating him because he’s not truly one of them. And let’s talk about Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). He is willing to sit back and let Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow) play blind to get revenge on Jake. It’s a cruel game, and Jake doesn’t deserve it. This really shows how one turns out growing up DiMera.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The alternative

On the other hand, we have Jake. He’s been nothing but a good friend to Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). He did his best to warn a hostile family against Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien). And let’s look at the Kate thing. Despite Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) Kate act opening his eyes to his real feelings for Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus), he’s sticking by Kate.

At least, right now. He’s trying to be there for her and can’t bring himself to break her heart when she’s so “scared”. This shows he’s a self-sacrificing type that the DiMeras could never be. Sure they have all the money, but it looks like Jake really won life. He grew up far away from the DiMera influence.
