ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that Sonny’s kids week continued on Wednesday. This episode originally aired on November 7, 2014. Once again, we really gotta hand it to the people who selected these episodes for that particular collection. This is the best, most relevant collection of picks yet. Although, we’re curious to see what other collections might have been released, and what they’re planning for next week. For now, let’s take a look at this episode and why we loved it.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Justified feud
First, we gotta talk about something that’s played a big role in today’s GH. Namely, the feud that we’ve seen between Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Ava Jerome (Maura West). Nina was more than happy in recent months to do a Crimson piece that made Ava look horrible. And it led to her and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) both enjoying her downfall. However, we kind of think (at least from what we see), that Ava is far more justified in hating Nina (then played by Michelle Stafford), than Nina is in hating her.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Michael goes dark in the latest throwback
In the flashback episode, we watched as Nina was running around with a baby that actually belonged to Ava. Actually, we’re curious as to whether Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) ever did anything in retaliation. After all, it was his daughter Nina stole, too. Shouldn’t she have been run out of Port Charles by now? But again… this is something to look into more, because some of these older plots are so intriguing right now. In any case, it was fun to see another sometimes-referenced moment play out.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: A different side
In other General Hospital spoilers, this episode was good for another reason. We got to see a bit of a different side to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). The Michael we’ve been exposed to has been the “good” Corinthos. He runs an environmentally-friendly company, goes out of his way for people, and usually ends up getting the short end of the stick. Still, he stays away from the whole vengeful thing for the most part. The closest we’ve seen him come to getting nasty is against Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier).
In this episode, Michael had just learned that Sonny was the one who shot AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan), his real father. And the worst part is, AJ was innocent of the sin Sonny killed him for. Michael confronted his father, holding a gun on him as he promised to make his father’s killer pay. The emotion and tension of this scene was captivating, and we are really looking forward to seeing some more episodes to find out how Michael was able to forgive his other dad for this.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Looking ahead
As for the future of GH, we would like to see a little more of this Michael in the picture. He stood up for himself and showed a hard edge that we enjoyed. And he might just need it. Before the filming shutdown, Michael was not only fighting for custody of his child, but was about to be betrayed by Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth). He intends to oust Michael as CEO permanently. When Michael finds out about it, we want him to take a hard, tough stance to fight for what belongs to him.
