Univision Rubí spoilers indicate the end is here. Last night, we saw the final episode of this limited series, and it didn’t disappoint. Filled with tension, awesome moments between characters, and a satisfying end, we’re taking a look at some of the best moments. Here’s our picks.

Univision Rubí Spoilers: Christina’s happy ever after

First off, we found it sad, yet somewhat fitting that Cristina Pérez Ochoa (Tania Lizardo) inherited the heart condition that killed her mother in the finale. However, there’s a good side to things. Alejandro Cárdenas (José Ron) is now her physician, and he appears to keep her condition under control. We look at it as her heart being broken after the death of her love, Cayetano Gómez (Antonio Fortier) because of Rubí Pérez Ochoa’s (Camila Sodi) actions. Well, partly because of that. Also, it seems that Cristina found love again later on, as there was a man in her life in the finale.

Univision Rubí Spoilers: Loyal to the end

Also, there was Boris (Henry Zakka). We admit it. We’ve been stanning him hardcore this season. He was a comforting presence, an almost grandfatherly figure that became Rubí’s protector. He didn’y care it cost his job with Lucas Fuentes Morán (Marcus Ornellas), and Rubí spoilers reveal he risked his life for her.

In the last episode, we watched Boris take on Héctor Ferrer Garza (Rodrigo Guirao) and his men, and he was a badass with it. But even as he was shot and lay dying, he didn’t give up on Rubí. He got himself to a hospital in time to warn Alejandro Rubí was in danger. He even indicated her location so help could come. We loved seeing that he made it, and love even more that he was able to see the good buried inside her.

    Univision Rubí Spoilers: Making amends

After running from a crazy ex and managing to live to tell about it, Rubí spoilers indicate Rubí was a changed woman. We guess almost two decades of captivity and the loss of your looks in an accident will do that to a person. As the episode wrapped up, Rubí risked her life for Fernanda Pérez Ochoa (Ela Velden). They bonded over Rubí’s pain as well. It showed Fernanda Rubí isn’t as evil as she once thought.

When Alejandro came to her rescue in the future and they shared a kiss, Rubí could’ve pushed to get him back. She also could’ve sabotaged his relationship with Maribel de la Fuente (Kimberly Dos Ramos). Instead, she accepted his refusal and even was cordial to Maribel when she saw her again. In addition, she was kind to their child. It was a nice turn around for a character who’d been known for destroying lives.

    Univision Rubí Spoilers: Karma swap

Finally, we saw Rubí have a change in fortune after her turnaround. She shied away from the spotlight she once craved, and rebuilt her relationship with Cristina. Plus, we saw her inherit plenty from her ex. It’s a great story of redemption that reminded us of the more old-school novelas. As it was a remake, not surprising, but it was still good to see something focused more on drama and romance than drugs and crime fighting. It shared the typical novela stories from before: a poor girl of humble origins makes a better life for herself. Please give us more of these shows, Univision.
