We honestly can’t blame Rubí for being a bit put out. As soon as she arrived in Madrid, her potential sister-in-law was practically oozing disapproval. She continued to do so, as we watched her make some snide remarks to Rubí at a gathering. Rubí spoilers indicate our protagonist tried to get Prince Eduardo (Rubén Sanz) to stand up for her, but to no avail. Still, she persisted.

You can’t deny Rubí is a go-getter. Her big goal was to get the Queen on her side. Despite being warned this was likely to be an impossible mission, Rubí put her eyes on the prize. She seriously spent months trying to get an audience with the Queen. Day after day, she attempted to step into the Queen’s office, only to be stopped by guards at the last second. Usually, she had the door slammed in her face. But, her persistence paid off. It just wasn’t in the way she planned.
When the Queen finally decided to let her in, Rubí spoilers indicate Rubí only had five minutes. She did her best, going on about how much smarter she is than the common person, and how sure she is the Queen is intelligent enough not to buy into the gossip surrounding Rubí. Rubí was wrong. Sort of. The Queen was, in fact, smart enough to know a gold digger when she sees one, and she told Rubí so. She then threatened she’d cut Prince Eduardo off if he kept seeing her. That would surely prove whether or not she’s got her eyes on money. However, she also promised Rubí would never be Queen, nor would she get a cent from the Crown. This is where Rubí lost it.

We’ll give Rubí this much: she’s got restraint when needed. She didn’t throw a major tantrum in from of the Queen. But she did do something else. While heading out for a run, Rubí got accosted by reporters who want to know all about the Mexican girl who is rumored to be with their Prince. Her answer to them was awesome. She totally trashed the whole Royal thing, as well as the “pathetic” obsession the reporters and people have with “what they eat, what the wear” and other things. She then went off on what terrible people they are, and even insinuated the Prince is a mama’s boy. It was an awesome and funny clip. But it’s got consequences.

Univision Rubí Spoilers: Adiós
The interview caused a huge stir, and Prince Eduardo confronted her about it. She accused him of not actually feeling anything for her and demanded a private jet to go back to Mexico. We have a feeling she’ll end up regretting this move. We think this could also somehow be related to her current circumstances. You don’t make an enemy of the Royal family without a response. Whether it’s related to her new recluse life, or just caused a massive problem for a time in the past, we’ll see her deal with her interview again. We’re sure of it.
