Univision Rubí spoilers indicate things got crazy on Friday, February 21st. And it might combine two of our previous theories for how Rubí Pérez Ochoa (Camila Sodi) ended up in the complicated future situation she’s in. Let’s take a look at how things went down, and how it’s likely to affect her.

    Rubí spoilers: One mystery down

Let’s start with a slightly unrelated topic. In the future, Rubí is interviewed by Carla Rangel (Ela Velden), who’s actually her niece, Fernanda Pérez Ochoa (Valery Saís). At different times, we’ve been off and on the fence of whether or not Rubí knows who she is speaking to. Rubí spoilers indicate that question was answered Friday.

Eventually, the topic turned to the day Cayetano (Antonio Fortier) died. After Rubí told the whole story, Carla went off on her. She accused Rubí of killing an innocent man with her move. This led to an argument about why Rubí did what she did, and how she didn’t actually kill him. We sort of agree on that. Cayetano did himself no favors. However, this led Rubí to blurt out that she was doing it for “you”, then she called Carla by her true name. So, what is next for her?

    Rubí spoilers: Big mistake

It’s not secret Rubí is a bit selfish and does whatever she pleases. She rarely gives a thought to who she hurts, too, usually blowing it off as their fault somehow. In the Friday episode, she took that entitlement thing a bit far. The Japanese businessman, Sadao, tricked her into meeting with him by playing on her vanity. He had someone pose as a reporter who wanted to interview her badly. Rubí spoilers indicate she got a nasty surprise when she arrived.

Well, it turned out Sadao was waiting—with several armed men. He wanted to settle the situation between them. After playing at being tough a moment, the extra company had her quickly agreeing to coffee. But, she is a resourceful sort. Rubí started a live video where she accused Sadao of kidnapping her. Luckily for Rubí, Boris (Henry Zakka) never left as she told him to. He came in with a weapon of his own and took control of the situation, allowing Rubí to escape with him. We think this is where everything went wrong for her.

    Rubí spoilers: The rescue?

After her traumatic meeting, Rubí ran to Prince Eduardo of Spain (Rubén Sanz) and told him all about his perverted friend and what he likely planned to do to her. We believe that is the key to her current situation where she’s essentially a shut-in who’s apparently not allowed to have men in the house. We believe Sadao took massive offense to what happened and has had a target on her back since. This definitely goes beyond a deal she backed out on.

Furthermore, seeing as how the Prince wanted to bring her to Spain with him (and being friends with Sadao), we think he’s the one behind protecting her in the future, and likely the one paying the bill. The house she stays in is pretty impressive. Given how most of her problems stem from her need to use men to climb ladders, we can definitely see the “no men” rule being justified. Will this turn out to be the case? We’ll have to wait and see. For any other soap opera and entertainment news, please visit Daily Soap Dish.
