Univision Rubí spoilers indicate the twist isn’t as epic as some hoped. Although, we do think it’s pretty good. In the future, we finally learn who is pulling Rubí Perez Ochoa’s (Camila Sodi) strings almost two decades later. And we think it’s the perfect, sick move. Let’s take a look at how things went down.

Univision Rubí Spoilers: Back in the day

In Rubí’s youth, she did some really bad stuff. From framing an innocent man, to trying to sleep her way into the Spanish royalty while screwing over her true love, she’s caused a lot of havoc. She even helped to (inadvertently) kill her own mother. But, it looks like Future Rubí is facing some epic karma. And it all goes back to her first twisted move—seducing Héctor Ferrer Garza (Rodrigo Guirao) away from Maribel de la Fuente (Kimberly Dos Ramos) on their wedding day.

    Univision Rubí Spoilers: Desperate woman

Okay, she wasn’t so desperate at first. Yes, her relationships with Héctor and Lucas Fuentes Morán (Marcus Ornellas) ended badly. She even ended up in serious trouble when she pulled a fast one on Sadao, the man who was supposed to do a perfume line with her. But she didn’t really care about any of this. Not so long as she had Prince Eduardo (Rubén Sanz) lined up to give her a life of Royal leisure. Except he didn’t.

Rubí spoilers indicate she was humiliated by the reception the royals gave her, and Eduardo refused to go against his mother, the Queen. With her other bridges dead or burned, Rubí clearly decided that love was going to have to do. Except Alejandro Cárdenas (José Ron), her true love, turned her away finally after being screwed over by her more than once.

Univision Rubí Spoilers: Moving right along

Undeterred, Rubí went for her last option. As she was still married to Héctor at the time of his death, she went to claim his estate. Except Héctor had written her out before his death. Desperate, she went back to appeal for her piece of the pie one more time.

This time, she was lucky. Rubí spoilers indicate Héctor did leave one thing to her in his will. It seems like a kind move. That maybe, just maybe, he figured he’d done wrong as well as decided she should get something out of his estate, even if he didn’t want to give her it all. It wasn’t.

    Univision Rubí Spoilers: The payback

This is where we get to the epicness of Héctor’s decision. The house he left Rubí isn’t just any house. It’s the home that his father shot his mother in, then killed himself. A house of infidelity and pain. And it seems he wasn’t done. Not only did Rubí get informed of that history through the lawyer, but it seems he had one more bit of revenge. He’s clearly the one who made the “no men” stipulation in regards to the house. He had to have instructed his lawyer to wait to tell her about her inheritance when she returned for it. We assume that was to make sure she was in no position to turn the house, or the stipulation down. But there was one more surprise in store.

After leaving a suicide note for people to “ask Rubí”, and the twisted history house, and no men (torture for Rubí), there was one more thing. He’s not really dead. At the end of the episode, we see he is the one who came to visit. So, he’s been somewhat controlling Rubí all these years while making everyone else think he was dead because of her. Gotta give it to Héctor—he knows how to hit someone where it hurts. And you can’t say Rubí doesn’t deserve most of it.
