Backlash comes quickly when any celebrity makes a decision that could be seen as questionable. This happened when Charli D’Amelio posted a video with her family at dinner. In the video, the TikTok star was called “rude” because she wanted dinosaur chicken nuggets.

Her family had a private chef that night and she made a face behind his back that was not very nice. She immediately lost about 1 million followers and then she started to get death threats. This is all part of being famous and being an online celebrity.

    A Tearful Video From Charli

It’s hard being an online celebrity and no knows this more than Charli. After the video with her family went viral, she received death threats from strangers and was pretty much done with TikTok. She posted a very tearful video on her Instagram account.

She said, “Seeing how people reacted to this- I don’t even know if I want to do this anymore. This is messed up stuff that people are saying, like people telling me to hang myself, people just blatantly disrespecting the fact that I’m still a human being is not okay at all.”

Charli D’Amelio And Her Book Opens Up About Social Media

This is just one of the biggest examples of how social media is starting to really ruin our lives and the lives of teenagers.

Charli’s book is a great example of how she decided to take on the world of social media and address her fans on life as a celebrity. In her book, she also explains what it’s like to be in a relationship and have people watch your every move.

She writes, “When you start noticing yourself getting into that place where you’re like, ‘Wow, these people are more invested in seeing us fail than they want to actually see us be happy together.’ It can be really detrimental, and you just have to stay true to yourself.”

She went on about her book explaining that it is a way to show people that they are not alone in life right now.

“I want to let people know that they are not alone, and there’s a million other people that feel exactly the way that you do and that’s totally fine. I don’t want to put myself on a pedestal that I am perfect 24/7 because I am very much not. I have my bad days, I have my down days, I live a normal life.”

Charli was happy to let her fans know about her book and she hopes that they get a lot out of it that can help them during this tough time in life.
