As we all know James Charles used to have a youtube group called “The Sister Squad” that is now defunct. We all kind of thought that youtube groups were a thing of the past, seriously the last time that I heard of a youtube group was back in the days of the TRASH youtube channel with Tana Mongeau and back in the up and coming days of Team 10.

Youtube ‘houses’ never exactly picked up the way that TikTok houses did, and we’re still wondering just how on earth that particular phenomenon made enough money to have actual houses dedicated to content creation but I digress.

Youtube – James Charles teams up with TikTokkers?

For Halloween, James Charles had the ‘sister spooky special guests’ on, and the tiktokkers included, Larray, Noah Beck, Lil’ Huddy, Dixie D’Amelio, Charli D’Amelio, and there seemed to be a couple of other ones in there. He did all of their halloween makeup in this one video which, okay that was cool and totally in keeping with the tone of the season.

Larray he made into Freddie Kreuger, Dixie D’Amelio was Samara from The Ring, Charli D’Amelio was the scary doll Annabelle, and Ll’ Huddy ended up as Edward Scissorhands. Not sure what Noah Beck ended up as, but he had scars all over his face. Of course, James himself ended up as V in V for Vendetta, a costume which is just as extra as he is.

But seriously, why’s he hanging out with TikTokkers now? And what happened to the former sister squad? Did they all ditch him after the Bye Sister squad along with a good portion of his followers? That seems to be the way of youtube friendships, it seems.

We’ve all heard youtubers lament the tales at one time or another where they said that certain youtubers will just be friends because of collabs but they won’t really be friends, like if you want to do a video they’re down but if you need someone in the middle of the night you’re as good as ghosted. That just seems to be a thing among youtuber/social media influencer culture.

So, are tiktokkers any better? So far we haven’t heard any complaints but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything. I mean, there’s only so much complaining you can do in the one minute timespan you have on tiktok, but then again half these tiktokkers have youtube accounts so they could make longform videos there.

Either way, will this new squad hang around James or will they end up ditching him too? Or will he end up ditching them? We’ll keep you posted. Stay tuned!!!
