As we all know, Shane Dawson, youtuber extraordinaire, briefly returned to IG for like two and a half seconds a couple of weeks ago to promote his boyfriend Ryland Adams’ new talk show ‘The Sip’.
A couple of months before that, Shane was embroiled in a big controversy involving Dramageddon 3, when fellow youtuber and makeup guru Tati Westbrook decided to spill the tea on him and tell the world that he was actively involved in Jeffree Star’s very public takedown of fellow makeup guru James Charles.

After that, when he kept mum about the BLM movement we found out why because a lot of his old, previously racist content was still being monetized. He responded during the BLM movement by deleting a lot of his content, posting an apology video, and then hightailing it off the internet, seemingly for good.
But when Ryland started The Sip, he came on instagram to post a story dedicated to Ryland and how happy he was for him and how dedicated Ryland was to achieving his dreams. (Just for the record, we’re all happy for Ryland.)
But it looks like a lot of his followers are not happy with Shane at all for coming back to the internet after such a scandal, especially considering he didn’t speak on anything that happened. He just posted like everything was still okay, and that he had never had any controversy at all, and that it was just another day in cyberspace. (Oooh, haven’t used that word in a long time!)
Some people were saying that Shane had great audacity to come on and not speak on anything except to plug Ryland’s new show. The thing is though, in the original message Shane did say that eventually he would speak on everything.
However, I wonder what day and time that’s going to be because it looks like, much like another youtuber who shall remain nameless (*coughcough*TanaMongeau*coughcough*) it looks like he’s waiting until everyone has forgotten about the scandal to come out and actually speak on things.
But maybe I’m jumping the gun here, Tati had at one time came out and said that there were legal teams involved so maybe, just maybe, Shane is staying quiet so that his legal team has time to get things covered. I mean it’s a possibility. We’ll keep you updated, stay tuned!!!
