‘Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) seems like he’s being propped up by the writers to be Abby Newman’s (Melissa Ordway) donor for her and Chance Chancellor’s (Donny Boaz) child.
Over the last few days, he’s been acting a bit strange about the situation. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) showed him a photo and spoke to him about how happy she is that she’ll be able to do this for Abby and Devon said he wishes he could do more to help.

Meanwhile, Abby is having a long, drawn-out process of selecting a donor. We see what the writers are trying to do and I don’t think many of us are excited about this? Do we really want to see Devon straight up ask Abby to be their donor?
Since when has Devon become such good friends with Abby and Chance? This seems completely out of the blue and a pretty serious thing for someone to do for mere acquaintances. While it would be the answer to Abby’s selection process, I just can’t connect the dots as to why this is affecting Devon so much?
Did Mariah’s conversation really make him feel like he should do this? Is this cloudy judgment because he’s still thinking about Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy)? What is happening?
