‘Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that I can’t be the only one that is completely zoned out of Abby Newman’s (Melissa Ordway) pregnancy story now, right? Every time she’s on-screen now looking through the donors or how much she misses Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) I just want to skip ahead.

They should have put this off, or changed it, or something! After Donny Boaz being fired and the awkward announcement that he wouldn’t be replaced or killed off, it’s left this strange void in the show that doesn’t make sense.

“Abby thanks Nina for staying by her side and Dollar Bill gives Sally a warning before leaving town. Watch The Young and the Restless weekdays on CBS and CBS All Access.”

‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Let’s Be Honest – Abby Newman’s (Melissa Ordway) Pregnancy Story Is Nothing Without Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz)

How long are they going to keep going along with this story? Is she actually going to pick a donor? Is Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) going to go through with the pregnancy? Why wouldn’t they just recast him? Or find another way to explain his disappearance?

Just writing him off and saying he’s on a mission leaves a space that is not easily filled. It makes the whole story weird. Why would he just leave without saying anything? Why would he want her to continue without him? Wouldn’t he want to be a part of this? Instead, we get this oddity with Abby doing this on her own basically and it’s drawn-out way more than it needs to be.

Change the story. Give her a letter from Chance telling her to wait, or that he was killed in action or something. How will you continue a story with a huge void and not fill it? They need to make a decision, this is one of the worst things I’ve seen yet.
