‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Loren Lott (Ana Hamilton) admits that she was pretty bummed to find out that she would no longer be working on the hit soap. As a matter of fact, the actress admits that the news came as a surprise to her, as much as it did for her fans, too. Just when things were going pretty well for her character, the show’s writers decided to take her out of one of the story lines. Here’s what Loren has to say.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Loren admits that she was pretty surprised to hear that her storyline would be ending, suggesting that she did want to continue working on the show. She loved playing Ana for many years. She said, “I just started a new story line with Theo and Summer, and I definitely thought that was going to continue. I was definitely excited for that story line because it was different than any of the others that I had.”

However, Loren says that despite the new drama with Summer and Theo, the show’s Executive Producer Anthony Morina did pull the actress aside and explained to her that they weren’t sure where to take her story line next. This, of course, was sad news for the actress as she considered many of her co-stars and the cast as both her close family and friends.
Despite her disappointment, Loren says that she would still love to come back to ‘Young and the Restless’, if given the opportunity. She added, “Overall, it was a blessing. I got so much from Y&R. I’m in so many magazines, I’ve gotten to hug so many fans, I got to go to Emmy parties and I got to kiss Shemar Moore (ex-Malcolm)!”
