Injuries and breaks away from the ring are part and parcel of the WWE. However, when these superstars return from their breaks there is a lot of buzz surrounding what they will do when they make their grand return.

Some superstars are advertised ahead of their return, while others appear out of the blue and catch superstars on the hop. The latter of these returns create the most amount of buzz, but which superstars are we expecting to see again before the end of the year?

    WWE News: Jinder Mahal

Jinder Mahal has been out injured for a number of months now after he suffered a serious knee injury. The timing of the injury couldn’t have been worse for the former WWE Champion, as he was being lined up as a potential challenger for Drew McIntyre.

According to reports, the Scot vouched for Mahal and suggested that he would be a perfect contender for the championship due to the history that they shared. Unfortunately, the rivalry never materialised, but there will still be hope that this feud could happen when Mahal makes his big return towards the end of this year.

    WWE News: Elias

Elias has been out injured for what feels like an eternity, but while there is no date set on his return, it would be hard to believe that we won’t be seeing him before the end of the year. He is currently out with a torn pectoral muscle injury, but a return has been muted on social media over the past couple of weeks.

It is unknown what the WWE’s plans could be for Elias, but fans will be hoping that there will be something big on the horizon as he has been criminally underused over recent years.

    WWE News: Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe’s return has been something that fans have been talking about for months now, but there is still no set date on when it may come. Joe has been working on the Raw commentary team over the past couple of months, which means he could be in a perfect position to step into a feud when he is fit enough to return.

There are a number of excellent opponents on the Raw roster for Joe when he does return, with stand out choices for potential opponents being Seth Rollins and Dominick Mysterio.
