It has been over 12 months since we last saw Ronda Rousey in a WWE ring, but her comeback could be soon on the agenda for fans as she has teased that she could be set for a feud with Natalya. Rousey hasn’t been seen in WWE since losing the Raw Women’s Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 35.
The match against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch was the first time that a women’s match had headlined the biggest show of the year, and brought to an end her record reign as Raw champion. That record was eventually broken by Lynch, before she was forced to vacate the title earlier this year.
WWE News: Rousey Return On The Cards
Rousey’s return has been something that fans have been speculating about for the best part of a year, as fans have revealed that they believed that the former UFC star would be gunning for revenge on Lynch. A pin was put in those plans after Lynch made her departure, but it does seem that the WWE will go back to that rivalry when they are able to do so.
There have also been rumours that Rousey could return for the match that the WWE Universe have been begging for. The potential match up between the four horsewomen of UFC and the four horsewomen of WWE has been something that fans have been demanding for years. However, it is unlikely that will be Rousey’s first match back, as Charlotte is injured, Becky is off and Bayley and Sasha Banks are currently in the midst of a feud.
WWE News: Rousey Teases Re-Match
Rousey teased a possible return match on Twitter this week, as she commented on a post that was uploaded by the official WWE account. The match was against Natalya, and Rousey admitted that she was looking forward to a rematch. She also revealed that the match was one of her favourites as there were a number of huge challenges.
However, Rousey has recently revealed that her days as a full-time superstar was over and that she would only be returning to the company as a part-time athlete. She revealed that the schedule was tough, but it was something that she wanted to do in order to immerse herself into the lifestyle. Rousey’s current deal with the WWE runs until next year, which means a return could be on the cards sooner rather than later.
