Wil Wheaton seems to be a bit angry at Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings and let his feelings known once Jennings crossed the picket line to go back to work.
Wheaton, posted and commented all over a Facebook post from Daily Beast about Jennings being a terrible person and slamming and cussing at him on social media.
Wheaton shared the post with the following caption, “This is a VERY small town, Ken Jennings, and we will all remember this. Your privilege may protect you right now, but we will *never* forget. #WGAStrong”
However, it seems he quickly realized that he was recieving too much attention for his comments and continued to edit the post, adding on, “This is getting more attention than I expected or wanted, and I don’t want this to be about me being disappointed by a choice Ken Jennings made. I want attention and energy focused on supporting the writers who are fighting for their professional existence, opposed by billionaires who are keen to ruin my entire industry.”
Wil Wheaton Breathes HELLFIRE On Jeopardy! Host Ken Jennings For Crossing Picket Line, Curses And Shames The Host
Of course, people defended Jennings and called out Wheaton for being on a set just a few days ago and explained the cursing and shaming someone for going to work probably wasn’t the best thing to do. However, Wheaton apparently had nothing better to do and replied to tons of comments and defending his actions.
Apparently, Wheaton has been reached out to by the New York Post, and rather than explaining his stance and defending his actions, he declined to speak to them and instead began his tirade on their company. Like him or hate him, Wheaton doesn’t seem to be doing a very good defending his actions and has resorted to name-calling and cussing.
There is no doubt that the strike has been causing a lot of disruption and if those writers feel like that is the correct way to go, let them, but calling out someone like this on social media for trying to work is bizarre to me.
