Will Spencer’s firing on The Bold and the Beautiful may end up causing far more trouble for Forrester Creations than Ridge expected. While the company moved quickly to fire Will Spencer after his fight with RJ, Electra’s reaction afterward made it clear this situation is far from settled.
When Will showed up in the design office and told her what happened, Electra looked stunned. Just hours earlier, the two of them had been happy and completely wrapped up in each other. Suddenly, Will was standing there telling her RJ had gotten his way and he was out at Forrester. Electra obviously blamed herself, but Will assured her it was not her fault.
Electra Knows This Didn’t Come Out of Nowhere
The Forresters may have treated the punch like some shocking outburst, but Electra knows there was already tension brewing between RJ and Will long before things turned physical.
RJ had been hanging around her for weeks despite knowing she was with Will, and it became increasingly obvious the rivalry between the two men was getting personal. Even Carter later acknowledged that RJ had been antagonizing Will before everything finally exploded.
But once the fight happened, all of that seemed to disappear.
Will became the problem. RJ became the victim. And the company wasted no time choosing sides.
In Tuesday’s episode, it became even clearer that Ridge and the whole team understand to a certain extent RJ is not innocent either. He clearly wants Electra and Will pointed that out in the office as he received his termination papers. Will argued he was only being fired because RJ wants his girlfriend.
Electra was also there while Will received his termination papers and she witnessed this whole conversation. You could see she was on Will’s side and there to support him. As they exited the obvious, she looked distraught and in disbelief that this was happening to Will.
This Situation Is Awkward Because Electra Is a Forrester
What makes all of this more complicated is that Electra is not just another employee working at the company.
She is part of the family.
Electra is the granddaughter of John Forrester, Eric Forrester’s brother, and she came to Los Angeles with Ivy Forrester. Family loyalty has always mattered at Forrester Creations, which is why this situation could become uncomfortable very quickly.
Because now Electra is stuck in the middle.
On one side is the family business she came to be part of. On the other is the man she clearly cares deeply about — a man who now feels humiliated and pushed aside by the company unjustly.
Could Electra Eventually Push Back?
Right now, Electra is trying to support Will and process everything that happened. But it is hard not to wonder if this situation eventually changes how she views Forrester entirely.
She already looked devastated over the idea that she and Will would no longer be working together. And if she feels that the company unfairly made Will the scapegoat while ignoring RJ’s role in provoking him, resentment could start building fast.
Especially because Will clearly felt betrayed by how quickly the company turned against him.
He genuinely seemed to believe Forrester was becoming home for him, which made the firing hit even harder.
That is why it would not be surprising if Electra eventually spoke up. Whether that means confronting Ridge, pushing for Will to be rehired or questioning her own future at Forrester, this storyline suddenly feels much bigger than one fight between two men.
Logan May End Up Benefiting Again
Meanwhile, Logan continues gaining momentum while Forrester keeps losing people.
Hope already left after getting frustrated with the endless uncertainty surrounding Hope for the Future. Deke has joined Hope. Now Will has been pushed out too.
At some point, Forrester may need to stop acting like every employee is replaceable.
Because Bill Spencer is aggressively building Logan into a serious rival fashion house, and he seems more than happy to welcome people who feel unwanted elsewhere.
If Electra reaches the point where she no longer feels comfortable at Forrester after the way Will was treated, Logan could easily become an option for her too.
And if that happens, Ridge may realize too late that firing Will created a much bigger problem than he expected.
