Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been appearing at events solo as part of their new PR strategy, which aims to encourage them to attend more events alone.
Meghan Went Solo To A Children’s Hospital Gala
Meghan went solo to a children’s hospital gala at JW Marriot in Los Angeles, while Harry has been away on a pseudo-royal tour. From his guest appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in New York to his pit stop in London and finally, to his visit to Lesotho in Africa, he’s certainly made the rounds.
Apparently, Harry and Meghan have decided it would be wise to promote their brands separately. An insider close to the couple said,
“The Duke and Duchess have now hit their stride as individuals, not just as a couple. The Duke appears focused on his patronage work, and the Duchess focused on her entrepreneurial track.”
At the event, Meghan re-wore a stunning, bold red Carolina Herrera dress she wore in November 2021 to the Salute Freedom Gala in New York City. The dress had a long skirt, giving it the appearance of a ballroom gown.
This time, the dress was more figure-hugging and made an impression. For some reason, everyone’s been talking about Meghan’s dress.
They aren’t discussing what these separate endeavors might mean to the couple. Insiders say the two of them want to focus their energies on different things. They probably think that if each of them puts their efforts into one agenda, it will boost their PR. But is there another reason why the pair are choosing to go it alone?
Prince Harry May Be Trying To Distance Himself From Meghan Markle
Meghan is reportedly fed up with Harry’s perpetual court cases and endless pursuit of security entitlements. It has also been reported that Harry and Meghan disagree on how to raise their children, Archie and Lilibet.
Prince Harry doesn’t want the kids to be seen in public for fear the paparazzi will snap photographs, but Meghan thinks they should allow the children to attend events.
Some people think Harry’s solo pseudo-royal tour and future solo efforts were his ideas. A source close to the Duke said,
“I hear he wanted it this way. I believe he wants space.”
It looks like Harry is determined to repair his damaged reputation and possibly his family relationships. Last month, he reached out to royal aides to help him work on a potential plan to return to the royal fold. It is believed he is seeking a part-time role in the Firm.
He’s grasping at straws with that. The late Queen Elizabeth made it clear that half-in, half-out was not an option. It’s difficult to imagine that would change because Her Majesty is no longer with us.
Harry is desperate to be taken seriously. His recent tour proves that he wants to improve his publicity and how he’s viewed.
The source admitted,
“It’s a surprise he went to Lesotho without Meghan. There may be a good reason she can’t leave the kids, but she’s never been to Lesotho, and that surprises me. It’s like a second home to Harry.”
Maybe Harry is looking for a way out of Montecito after all.
