Vanessa Lachey says that the coronavirus quarantine has actually brought her closer to her husband, Nick Lachey. That’s because they’ve learned how to communicate better. Here’s what she has to say.
Speaking to Fox News in an interview, the former MTV host says that even though there are a lot of couples calling it quit after quarantine, the lockdown actually brought her and Nick closer together.
Vanessa Lachey Says The Quarantine Has Helped Her Marriage
She told the site, “I found that quarantine has allowed me and my husband Nick to learn how to communicate better because when we aren’t communicating on the same page we are shorter tempered and not as patient.”
As many fans know, Nick and Vanessa tied the knot back in 2011. The couple share three children together: sons Camden, 7, Phoenix, 3 and their daughter Brooklyn, 5. Vanessa said she certainly learned how to not react as quickly as she did in the past and instead, keep her cool and keep calm with both her husband and their three children at home.
“You don’t want to be that way,” Vanessa continued. “You don’t [want] to be snappy and punchy around your kids or to your spouse or to your friends. So we’ve learned how to take a beat and communicate better.” Vanessa also reflected on her MTV days and all that she learned as the host of the hit daytime show, TRL.
“TRL taught me early on to be myself and to be comfortable with being myself,” she said. “[It taught me] to listen when I’m interviewing somebody and to be present while I’m on camera. It was live every day… five days a week and you had to roll with the punches.”
