BH90210 spoilers for Wednesday, August 21st reveal that Brian Austin Green has let danger into the house, Jason Priestly (Brandon Walsh) is struggling with Camille’s (Vanessa Lachey) infidelity, and Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor) gives him a dose of reality while stressing over those dolls. We also have a returning cast member. If you missed it, let’s catch up in a BH90210 recap.
BH90210 spoilers: Tori’s dilemma
Tori Spelling (Donna Martin) is finding out that producing isn’t as easy as it seems. In today’s episode, she’s forced to make a decision between her head writer and her leading man, something she’s not prepared to deal with, as she hates confrontation.
Making things worse, Christine Elise (Emily Valentine) is annoyed with all the concessions that were apparently made to get everyone on board. She hilariously snarks that Tori should contact Joe E. Tata as well, because maybe he’d like to be president of FOX. Tori insists that this is going to be great. She’s worried, though, because she still hasn’t gotten Shannen Doherty (Brenda Walsh) on board yet. She’s hard to reach.
Making things worse is her husband, Nate (Ivan Sergei), who is jealous of her past with Brian and requests that no love scenes happen. Yeah. About that…
BH90210 spoilers: Jason’s struggle
Jason confronts Camille, telling her that the baby isn’t his because he’s learned he has a pre-existing fertility issue. He then leaves to stay with Gabrielle Carteris (Andrea Zuckerman).
At work, the cast is gathered to look over story pages when Tori introduces the head writer. When Jason realizes he’s the guy that his wife slept with, he loses it and tries to hit him, but Jason’s held back. He yells out that this guy slept with his wife, to which writer replies that it’s not fault his wife wasn’t satisfied. This sets Ian Ziering (Steve Sanders) off and he hits the guy instead. It’s an awesome scene that shows the guys have the same chemistry as back during the original. Anyway, Jason ultimately tells Tori that either the writer goes, or he goes.
BH90210 spoilers: Jennie’s reality
Jennie can’t even with Jason today, as she feels he’s being a hypocrite. During a therapy session with Carol Potter (Cindy Walsh), Jennie blurts out that he slept with her in Vegas, but he’s angry about his wife doing the same. She later goes to Gabby’s house to tell him that he needs to speak to his wife and figure things out, because he deserves to be happy. He can still be a dad to that child if he wants a kid that badly.
She also is the most worked up over their potential stalker and jumps at the offer of a bodyguard. She hilariously keeps calling him “bodyguard” through the whole thing because she likes how it sounds. There are definite sparks being hinted at, though, so we’re expecting a brief hookup before this ends.
BH90210 spoilers: Brian’s mistake
Brian interviews Zach (Ty Wood) for an assistant job today and ultimately wants to give it to him. Shay (La La Anthony) thinks there’s something off about him, but thinks it’s Brian’s decision.
Later, she is on a business call when one of the kids leaves the house because she’d neglected to lock the top lock of the door. She sees it open and freaks, but the kid is safe and sound outside with Zach. He explains he was bringing by the dry cleaning when he saw her outside. Shay thanks him and apologizes for what she did.
Later, when Brian learns of this and confronts her about it, Zach takes the blame. Eventually, she comes to clean to Brian about the situation and laments not being as good as he is with the kids. He assures her it’s an on-the-job training thing, then decides that superfan is trustworthy enough to give a key to their house.
BH90210 spoilers: Gabby’s invitation
Her husband doesn’t take Gabby confession about her kiss in Vegas well. He’s not about to have an open marriage if she’s attracted to women, nor is he going to sit around and pine for her while she figures it out.
Later, she’s discussing the “Andrea” story with Christine, who reads between the lines and knows they’re talking about Gabby more than Andrea. She suggests Gabby be a method actor and put herself on a dating app.
Andrea ultimately takes her advice, but she’s not getting any hits. Of course, she’s also got an elbow for a picture, as she’s scared of people knowing it’s her. Christine suggests she give it time, before eventually sending Gabby a drink invite. Gabby looks up at her and Christine winks.
BH90210 spoilers: Ian’s confusion
Ian is feeling like he stepped through a time warp today. During the initial reading that resulted in violence, Ian had been hungover and asked someone for coffee and a muffin. She’s offended, as that’s not her job. She’s even more offended by Ian saying she’s got nice eyes.
It turns out this lady is Anna (Natalie Sharp), part of the writing team. Ian tries to apologize for earlier. He’s confused, though, because he was just giving an innocent compliment with no bad intent behind it. He can’t figure out when the whole world went nuts. Stacy always liked compliments, so he doesn’t know why it’s suddenly evil now. He feels like a dinosaur and worries that he won’t be able to handle dating again if an innocent compliment gets him in trouble.
BH90210 spoilers: You’re fired
Tori eventually finds the “big girl panties” Christine suggested she put on and, with Ian’s support, fires the head writer. He takes it very well and even shakes her hand, but the look on his face as he’s leaving makes us think there’s trouble ahead.
BH90210 spoilers: Shannen’s concession
Tori, having also been told to find solutions instead of making excuses, takes the initiative to travel to where Shannen is. We’re loving that Shannen is apparently an earth mama/inner peace searching guru now. When Tori says she needs her help, Shannen suggests that inner peace must be found within.
Tori explains that’s not the help she’s looking for. She needs rescuing, as she’s just starting out as a producer and needs Shannen to be part of this new show. Shannen eventually agrees, which impresses Christine. They all gather for a photoshoot where they recreate an old shot. Shannen thinks it’s nice to be back.
