It was announced that former heavyweight UFC champion Cain Velasquez was arrested for alleged murder while shooting at someone the other day. Information wasn’t available though, and we were unsure of the reason for the shooting.
However, information has come out that may or may not justify the shooting in your mind. While it’s obviously terrible to open fire at a vehicle, you may realize that Cain was not out just shooting for the fun of it. Allegedly the man he was shooting at was a sex offender and molested one of Velasquez’s relatives at a daycare.
Cain Velasquez Allegedly Attempted To Shoot A Man Accused Of Molesting Family Member
Multiple sources say that the person who Cain shot at near a school in San Jose was a man accused of repeatedly sexually abusing Cain’s close relative.
The man supposedly lives in a home that hosts a daycare where Cain’s young family member attended and was ultimately arrested and charged with one felony count of lewd and lascivious act with a child under the age of 14 last week over the allegations.
However, the man was granted release from custody following arraignment!
This seems like a gross mishandling of justice. The man was ARRESTED for a FELONY for sexually assaulting children and was granted RELEASE.
While it is still hard to justify vigilante acts by Cain Velasquez, it puts much more perspective on the incident and has us realize that Cain was doing what he thought was right.
We can all understand the anger that Cain must have been feeling. He is set to be formally charged by the DA’s office prior to the court hearing.
