We all knew it was coming. Now that Kim Plath of ‘Welcome to Plathville’ has been arrested on a DUI charge, rumors are beginning to swirl on social media that she should not be the one to get custody of the kids, that it should be Barry.

People are saying that, at least in the last season of ‘Welcome to Plathville’, Kim’s close bond with her children has disappeared into one that is almost non-existent, but the thing is we’re only hearing from Amber and Lydia Plath, granted that is two of the children that would be under her care if she did go for full custody. (Lydia much less so, since she is so close to being an adult.) But we have not heard from Isaac, Mercy, or Cassia when it comes to their opinions on the separation.

Should Barry Plath get sole custody of the Plath children?

The thing is, like it or not the little girls still need their Mom – they need both parents but since Barry hasn’t really been there in their lives daily since he was always at work, the little ones may feel the separation the hardest.

Granted, they did have Lydia there to soften the blow and it would be worse on them if she suddenly wasn’t around anymore so they might just wind up and wherever she is by default, at least for awhile. Kim seems to be “relocating herself” at the moment and a lot of fans feel that she may not be the most attentive Mom right now.

Isaac is the Plath that is a bit hard to read simply because he is so silent on the matter. Granted, he doesn’t owe the fandom at large an explanation about how he feels about his family’s situation, but one does wonder about his feelings on the matter since he was the one the defended Kim against Ethan a few months ago, well, he and Micah both really.

Those two and Moriah might be the ones that end up being on Kim’s side in the end. Looks like season 5 may focus on Kim’s struggles, but we’ll see. Stay tuned!!!
