TLC ’90 Day Fiancé’ spoilers finds that everyone was waiting with baited breath to see what Ariela’s Mom would say about the Ethiopian Hospital that her daughter had chosen to give birth in. Thing is, Ariela’s Mom is a nurse, so she knows what’s what in the medical field.
Ariela cautioned her that the Hospital wasn’t that much to look at on the outside but that on the inside it was good. Thing is, her Mom had an ulterior motive and said so in the confessional. She said that if the hospital had not passed inspection that she would be taking Ari home on the plane and not letting her give birth in Ethiopia.

I’m not actually sure how that would work seeing as Ariela is a legal adult fully capable of making her own decisions but you know, sometimes Moms are able to talk their offspring into things.
However, Janice was pleasantly surprised when she actually entered the hospital. The nurses seemed fully knowledgeable about the birthing process and they even had much of the same drugs that we have in the United States, which seemed to quell a lot of Janice’s fears.
As someone who now deathly fears hospitals, I can see where she would be trepidatious. Going in for any kind of major procedure is scary, but this isn’t just one life we’re talking about, it’s two. And Janice wants the absolute best for her child and Grandchild. Call her a meddling Mom if you must, but honestly? I can’t fault her for that.
She was also encouraging Biniyam to ask questions of the medical professionals as well and seemed a little judgmental that he wouldn’t. Ariela told her that he was counting on Janice to ask the right question but Janice was quick to tell him that this relationship should be 50/50 and he should be just as interested in Ariela’s well-being as she is.
She’s also right about that, because he should ask questions. What kind of made me laugh was when Janice askd if there were instances of baby stealing but the nurse seemed to assure her that no, that was not going to happen and that aside from medical professionals, the husband, and the birth Mother’s Mom, no one was allowed to enter the room.
That’s a safety precaution that I don’t even think we take in the states. Huh! Either way, I’m glad that the hospital passed the test but it looks like Biniyam may or may not. We’ll see. Stay tuned!!!
