If you’ve been on TikTok, you’ve probably seen videos from shoelover99 AKA MamaTot, AKA, Ophelia Nichols’, come up on your FYP from time to time. She’s a sweet, gentle, southern lady who hails from Mobile, Al. who dispenses advice to those who need it, she will sit down and “have lunch” with her tater tots as she calls them, and for fun, she has a series on her channel where she tries moonshine fruit and the like.
No one at all could have seen this coming for Mama Tot, as she was affectionately known among her followers. Her last video before the tragedy was of her down at the beach with her friends living it up and doing swimsuit looks – your typical summer video… and then the world got turned upside down.
TikTok Star Ophelia Nichols’ 18-Year-Old Son Dies In Random Shooting
According to the information that has been released, on June 25th, a Friday night a little before 8PM, 18-year-old Randon Lee was shot to death at a gas station in Prichard, Al. There is not much information available, and the last video on Ophelia’s channel was from two days ago when she posted a Mother’s grief, saying how there is now a hatred in her heart that she doesn’t recognize and how she has never hated anyone before.
She is out for information on the murder of her son because she says “Someone knows something.” and indeed, someone does.
From the things that have been posted on social media about the case, there are comments saying that the area of town, Prichard, is notorious for gun violence and criminal activity. That being said you can always stop for gas in a bad neighborhood, but you can’t always pick a good time to do so, at first glance it looks like the young man may have just been in the wrong place at the wrong time, but we don’t actually know all the details concerning his death.
Police have not released much information but say that they are currently following up on two leads. Mama Tot says in the description of her video that she will not rest until the person who murdered her son is found and prosecuted – and we can’t blame her.
Randon Lee would have been just 19 years old the day after his death, he was taken from his Mother one day before his 19th birthday. Our hearts go out to Ophelia Nichols in the days ahead, we at DSD will keep an eye on this case. Stay tuned!!!
