This past week, the world of TikTok was taken by surprise when 19-year-old Cooper Noriega passed away. He had gained a lot of popularity on the social media app and now it looks as if his family is ready to come out about how they are now dealing with things.

    TikTok: The Family Speaks Out

Cooper was found in Los Angeles, right outside of a mall last week just a few hours after he had posted about “dying young af”. The cause of his death has yet to be revealed.

His sister, Parker Noriega wrote a message on Cooper’s Instagram and it read, “Hi everyone. On behalf of our family, we want to thank you for all the kind words of our little Coop. His passing is an absolute tragedy to our family and loved ones. We pray that we all, as a community, can continue on his legacy. Please feel free to reach out as we love feeling all the support. Bless you all.”

Cooper’s father wanted to share how he was feeling as well. He posted on his Facebook, “Today has been an incredibly difficult time for my family and me. We lost our beautiful 19-year-old Cooper last evening. He was loved by so many and truly the love of Treva, Parker, and my life. There are no words to express grief and loss. It’s not supposed to be this way. Your child is not supposed to pass before his parents. He recently started a chat on Discord which grew to thousands for those to have a safe place to talk about mental health. My boy was a believer and I know he is in the presence of God.”

His mother then added, “My heart is forever broken but you’re my special angel and we have each other’s hearts. I know my mom was holding her arms out bringing you to Heaven. You are finally experiencing the most pure joy and happiness. I’ll see you one day my baby boy.”

In another heartbreaking post, his ex-girlfriend, Sabrina Quesada wrote, “The light of my life, you’re the best thing that ever happened to me. I’m so sorry, my love. May we meet again.”

This death has been incredibly difficult for many of his family, friends, and even followers on social media. He was a positive influence when it came to talking out about mental health and there is a lot of speculation on how he died, but nothing has been released yet.
