‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers here and we’re ready to set the stage for a fresh week and we have some fun spoilery goodies to share.
The week of Monday, July 28 to Friday, August 1 is going to see the end of the current murder mystery.
That’s the good news. The bad news is it looks way too predictable and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will be just another ensemble character going forward.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Weekly Spoilers Update: Carter Holds Lily Hostage; Cane Rages and Destroys his Desk Despite Being in the Clear
Cane will promise Carter (Vincent Stalba) he’ll protect him, and then push him to admit he murdered Damian King (Jermaine Rivers).
We have a feeling Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will push things and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will step in.
So, Carter will grab Lily and hold her hostage after being betrayed. Looks like he probably acted on Cane’s orders.
Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) had the paperwork ready to claim Chancellor pretty fast, after all.
Later, it looks like Amanda called the authorities and they’re removing the bodies and Cane is clear.
Guess Carter is killed or kills himself, but Cane won’t feel like it. We think this will blow up all of his plans.
So without reason to keep everyone there, he’ll reactivate cell service and destroy his office in a fit of rage.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers aren’t too surprised it looks like Carter is the one responsible for everything. The visible one anyway.
He’s willing to do anything to help Cane, so he could either be rogue or not.
There’s every chance he’s the former, but we can’t shake the feeling that Cane is the one pulling the strings. Perhaps, Carter took some liberties?
It is obvious Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) was being held to force Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to hand over Chancellor.
We suspect everyone else feels the same way, and this will shatter the plans Cane has laid out so far.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Free and clear?
With the mystery over and the authorities finishing up their investigation, Amanda will inform Cane he’s in the clear.
He won’t see it that way as Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will think he was behind all of this. We think he was to some extent, after all, this was his game being played.
Everyone else will take it as he failed as well once cell phone service is restored. Victor will crow about overcoming Cane’s big bad routine and they’ll prepare to leave.
As for Cane, he’ll become enraged and destroy his desk. His plans utterly failed, and it’ll be interesting to see if he has a better plan to come.
He bought up so much of Genoa City, we’d like to think he has another option in mind. Though that’ll be hard after he botched things so badly.
He’s now as nerfed at Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) was. No more significant threats except what he does with the properties.
Will Cane continue to fizzle out or does he have a Plan B? Let us know in the comments below.
