‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that while everyone is happy that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is on the right path, one person may inadvertently push him off. That man is his father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

While Adam is running Newman Media and building it up, Victor wants to step back in and essentially run things to “keep an eye” on Adam. Because of Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) little ploy, Victor now thinks Adam is incompetent and that’s exactly how Adam feels now too. He doesn’t want his father looking over his shoulder the whole time.

This made Adam angry enough to vent to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), which may come back to haunt him.

With Victor putting on this pressure on Adam, and now wanting to come work with the company, could this push Adam back down a path he just spent the last year recovering from? I could easily see Adam going behind his father’s back to his sister, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to sell Newman Media to her as long as he and his employees get to stay on.

While Victor has been proud of Adam for turning his life around, he may be the one that pushes him back down the dark path by being too overbearing. Leave Adam alone, let him try to deal with his own problems, and there’s no way he could have known that Billy was faking and trying to get Newman Media… How does Victor think he would know that?

What do you think? Where do you see this going and do you think there’s a chance that Adam could revert back to his old ways? Let us know in the comments below.
