‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) may frame Damain Kane (Jermaine Rivers) to win Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) back.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: A Murder Mystery Is Brewing
Last week, Cane summoned Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) to the maze to inform him that he believes someone will try to kill him.

We thought it was downright cringeworthy when Damian stupidly picked up a knife in Cane’s collection that happened to be on the train car for the Winters family.
Soaps don’t just randomly have people picking up knives for no apparent reason. If a character gets hold of a knife on a soap, it’s a sign that either they are about to be charged for a murder they didn’t commit, framed for a murder, or they plan to kill someone.
With Damian, it’s option B. We have our suspicions that Cane will frame Damain for murder to make it easier for him to move in on Lily.
Y&R fans know that a murder mystery storyline is coming, and Damian seems to have set himself up as suspect number one.
Cane has made it no secret that he desperately wants to reunite with his ex-wife, Lily, and he’s someone who doesn’t allow petty obstacles to get in the way of what he wants.

Cane is a self-made billionaire, and although he assured Lily that all his dealings were perfectly legal, there’s no telling how many bodies he left in his wake in the process of becoming Aristotle Dumas (metaphorically speaking, of course).
He may be planning something equally conniving and huge to remove the competition. It’s curious to us that Cane would choose to involve a humble police detective from Genoa City to solve this case rather than involving the French authorities.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Cane Warned Damian Not To Cross Him
Cane also knows that Damian betrayed him and that Damian offered to “keep an eye on him” for the Winters family. He doesn’t strike us as the type of man who takes disloyalty lightly.
Cane made it clear to Damian that he knew he was trying to stab him in the back. He gave Damian a stark warning. We don’t think he was kidding around. In addition to Cane knowing that he offered to spy on him, he also knows that Damian is attracted to Lily.

Cane is still head over heels in love with Lily, and he’s willing to go to great lengths to get her back, like reclaiming Chancellor for her. He’s not going to let Damian’s betrayal slide.
Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) has been Cane’s biggest cheerleader throughout this. She all but encouraged Lily to give him another chance. However, Lily has been too relentless about telling everyone who will listen that she has no desire to reunite with Cane.
As far as Lily is concerned, we think “the lady doth protest too much.” She insists she’s done with Cane, but we can see right through her. Not to mention, Lily kissed Damian solely to make Cane jealous, and it was apparent.
We think Cane will take any opportunity he can to get to Lily. Framing Damian for murder could be part of his master plan.
