‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) could reunite after Cane’s assistant, Carter (Vincent Stalba), is exposed as the real killer.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Lily Thinks Cane Killed Damian
We suspect Carter is the one who killed Damain Kane (Jermaine Rivers). He framed Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) for the heinous crime.

Right now, Lily is convinced that Cane is the guilty party since he professed his love to her, and Lily told him that she and Damain were a couple.
That said, a reunion between Cane and Lily will take some time. Lily must grieve over the loss of Damain. She needs to heal after his tragic demise and the trauma she experienced in Nice.
Lily and Damain were becoming close and even hit the sheets before he was killed. Lily was just finding her footing with him, and she’s understandably devastated now that he’s gone.
Once the murder mystery concludes, Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford), Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), and Lily will have a funeral for Damian, and Lily’s healing will be slow and gradual.

However, once Lily finds out for sure that Cane wasn’t the one who offed her new man. She may be more open to at least forgiving him at first.
Cane has a lot to make up for, having lied to her and lured her to France so he could reveal himself as Aristotle Dumas.
Deep down, Lily knows Cane wouldn’t commit murder. She knows a different side to him than anyone else does. They have children together and were once very much in love.
Cane obviously still feels the same about Lily, but Lily is not the type of chick to be blasé about someone betraying her.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Trust Is A Dealbreaker For Lily
Trust is a dealbreaker for Lily. She tends to value trust above all else. However, Cane is also planning a massive takeover of all the major companies in Genoa City.
He secretly hired Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) to buy up all the real estate in that town, including the athletic club.

Cane is definitely planning something big. That means that Cane and Lily may face another obstacle in their way of finding their way back to each other.
Cane has never stopped loving Lily, and once she realizes that he’s not the cold-blooded killer she’s assuming he is, she may be more receptive to him.
Also, Cane’s dad, Colin Atkinson (Tristian Rogers), has passed away. He was a significant roadblock in Cane and Lily’s marriage.
Colin stole Devon Winters’ (Bryton James) inheritance. Cane forgave Colin before he died. That was all she wrote for Lily as far as her opinion of Cane was concerned.

Now that Colin is no longer a factor, she may reconsider her decision to cut Cane out of her life. She also needs to consider her kids, as Cane and Lily could potentially be a family with Charlie and Mattie again.
Maybe something good can come out of this nightmare trip to France, and Cane and Lily could have another chance to make their relationship work. Lily is, after all, the love of Cane’s life.
