‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has made everything worse for his actions and it makes no sense why he would move Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) body. Let’s take a second to recap because Ashland was assaulting Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) stepped in, punched Ashland and accidentally killed him.
At worst, Nick would be looking at manslaughter, but surely, a Newman lawyer could easily knock it down to self-defense, which it seems to have been. Instead, Victor seems to have implicated his family in a murder mystery and created an entire issue out of nothing.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: What In The Hell Was Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) Thinking?
Now, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) are hot on Victor’s trail and now Nick knows the truth about what Victor did after he confided to his son. I don’t see how Victor is going to get out of this one and honestly, I’m kind of ready for Victor to be taken down a peg.
He’s walked around believing he is untouchable for far too long and he continues to shun his son Adam at every turn while “protecting” Nick and Victoria from something that wouldn’t have even been an issue since they called the police and would have explained what happened. I don’t see why people wouldn’t believe what happened to Nick and Victoria.
Is Victor just slipping in his old age or has he always been this much of a fool? It makes no sense and it’s been bothering the hell out of me. Who is he trying to protect? He’s done nothing to help and now his children are in the middle of a murder mystery. Way to go, Victor, you’re a genius.
