‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers here and we’re set to keep things rolling.
We have plenty of spoilery goodies for Wednesday, August 7’s episode and it looks interesting.
We’re going to be in the world of character building for a bit yet. Everyone is dealing with some kind of trauma, and that seems to be the underlying theme in this episode.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will question Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) about her about face. He’ll also point out she can’t fire him, so he’s not going anywhere.
Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) is going to have a stomach bug. That’ll be enough to have Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) fly home to confront Summer Newman (Alison Lanier).
Assuming he even left.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will try to smooth things over, but we doubt it’ll work out.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For Wednesday, August 7: Billy stands firm
Well, it looks like Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) found a way to turn Lily into an ally. A shame for him that Billy’s too smart and stubborn for that.
But either way, he’s going to take the full blame when Victor comes for Abbott-Chancellor. Unless he steps down.
Then Lily will know that Victor may have started his takeover to hurt Billy, but he really just wants more power.
He’s never been one to back down from Victor, and he won’t now. But with the issue that Victor’s coming after them solely because of him, it’ll get messy.
Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) wasn’t a fan of Billy supporting the de-merger, but has she softened toward him since?
She could be his only ally against Victor if he stays. If he leaves Jill will be disappointed in him and won’t trust him again, and if he stays he’ll take the fall.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For Wednesday, August 7: Not listening
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers aren’t surprised that Kyle found a reason to return or stay in Genoa City.
He’s so intent that Summer will try to turn their son against him that he’s being as off the wall as possible.
It looks like Diane will be the one that called him about Harrison’s stomach flu, and that’ll get her a kind word.
Beyond that, well, we’re not hoping for much. Even when Jack tries to smooth things over Kyle’s not listening.
This is going to be a hard lesson for him, but something’s got to give with him or Summer or both.
Should Billy step down and let Lily learn about Victor or keep fighting even if she doesn’t want him there? Let us know in the comments below.
