‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: How Foolish Are Sharon and Noah for Falling into Matt’s Blatantly Obvious Trap? And How Many Times Has Sharon Been Kidnapped?

‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) are both foolish for falling into Matt Clark’s (Roger Howarth) blatantly obvious trap.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Sharon and Noah Didn’t Bother with an Actual Confirmation or Conversation

The mother-son duo actually thought they were going to defeat Matt after that ridiculous text. They didn’t bother to call back or even verify that the text was really from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

Matt used the oldest trick in the book to lure these two nincompoops to Las Vegas. And now we’re rooting for Matt. Not that we haven’t been the entire time. He’s honestly hilarious. Howarth must be writing his own

    material.

We have to give mad props to Y&R for casting the soap gem that is Roger Howarth. His presence on this consistently disappointing show has been such a treat to watch.

So now this is like the forty-ninth time Sharon has been kidnapped. Nick warned Sharon and Noah not to come to Vegas because it was far too dangerous for them.

Matt outsmarted them, not that it should surprise anyone. Sharon doesn’t exactly have a good track record with common sense.

It was totally naïve of them to think Nick would text them to come to Vegas “if they wanted to see Matt go down.” Not a single attempt at a direct conversation was made.

Sharon and Noah drove to an abandoned gas station in Vegas and sat there for a long time, waiting for Nick to arrive.

The first clue they were in danger was that they were summoned to an abandoned gas station. A remote location where they would likely have no contact. Duh.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Why Does Victor Care More about His Empire than His Own Family?

The next clue was that Nick didn’t show up right away or was waiting outside when they arrived. Matt stepped right inside the car and declared, “Welcome to hell!” They came to Vegas thinking they were ending the constant threat that Matt poses.

Additionally, Nick is too far gone on painkillers to come to Sharon and Noah’s rescue. They walked right into a dangerous situation without even thinking or suspecting it might be a setup.

How many times has Sharon been kidnapped again? Not to mention, why are Victor Newman (Eric Braden) and his mini-me daughter, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), more concerned about winning back the Newman Empire than they are about their family?

It’s ridiculous for Victor not to be involved in this since he is, after all, “the Great Victor Newman.” With his resources and skill set, Sharon and Nick would have likely had a much better outcome than this mess.

Alas, Victor clearly didn’t place enough security on the clever Matt Clark to make sure that he didn’t escape from prison, which was his first mistake.

Matt is genius-level smart and much smarter than all the Newmans combined. He knew all he had to do was text Sharon and Noah, and they would come running.

Matt has the clear advantage here. Not to mention, Roger Howarth’s performance on Y&R has been nothing short of riveting and a masterclass in making a completely evil villain likable.
