‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) has seemed to forget her father’s emphasis on family. Y&R’s Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has always been about family first.
He is always trying to keep his family together. Victoria seems to be breaking the mold and one can wonder if Victor is going to stand for it.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Victoria’s Argument
When Victoria hears the news that her brother, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) has been arrested on a bogus assault charge, she has a surprising response. Instead of launching straight into full-blown support for her brother, she recommends to her parents that he take a leave of absence.
Victoria suggests that this is to give him some time to handle his family affairs. His family is currently being terrorized by the villain Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby). Nick is also trying to manage Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) care who is being watched for pre-eclampsia. There is a lot on his plate.
Victoria thinks he should also step away because of the reputation his arrest has on the Newmans. She suddenly seems very concerned about how this would look for the business. Everyone knows what a creep Cameron is and what he has done in the past though.
This is a very strange response and Victor smells a rat. He tells her that Nick should just take some personal time off and not a leave of absence from his position.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Victoria’s Real Plan
Victoria really wants her boyfriend and associate, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) to fill in for Nate. This is what Nate is dying for too, but he is keeping that strong desire under wraps.
It’s really more about promoting Nate to a position where he would be ever more powerful, rather than protecting Newman’s name and reputation. Victoria loves power and powerful people.
Victor may put a stop to this though. He overheard Nate and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) congratulating each other at Society. Nate thinks he has Nick’s job and Audra is dying to get Nate’s job at Newman Media.
This was surprising and concerning to Victor, but he stayed quiet and didn’t let them know that he overheard them. This means he will probably drop the bomb on Victoria, not allowing her to make any more to remove Nick.
