The Young and the Restless star Doug Davidson

‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers is saying that we’ve said it before, and we will certainly say it again: when it comes to the entertainment industry, it’s without a doubt that daytime television fans are most certainly the best ones in the world. Not only are they super supportive and loyal to their favorite soap stars, but they truly care about them as well. In fact, ‘Young and the Restless’ star Doug Davidson’s fans couldn’t help but express concern over the actor’s lack of air time. Here’s what you need to know.

According to the latest issue of CBS Soaps in Depth, a lot of people can’t understand why they are seeing less and less of Detective Paul Williams on the small screen. And quite frankly, Doug Davidson doesn’t seem to have an answer, either. But thanks to the power of social media, their concerns have been heard and it looks like we will be seeing Paul back in action sooner rather than later.

When asked when he will be returning, Doug told his Twitter followers that his next episode will air on December 18th. But beyond that, he doesn’t know. As many fans already know, Doug Davidson is on recurring status, which means he doesn’t have a storyline like some other characters on the show. The last time we saw him was during the Grand Phoenix hostage crisis.

Of course, that doesn’t mean Doug’s status won’t change in the future. There’s always the chance that Paul Williams will be on the forefront again and that he will have some heavy duty work in front of him, much to the delight of his fans. Viewers will simply have to tune in to find out what will happen next!

‘Young and the Restless’ airs weekdays on the CBS network. Check your local listings for times. For now, let us know what you think by leaving us a line with your thoughts in our comments section. What do you think is next for your favorite soap stars?
