‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that star Doug Davidson is making it pretty clear that there’s only one chief in Genoa City, and that’s him. As a matter of fact, the longtime daytime television actor set the record straight about his character Paul Williams and how he’s not the kind of guy that anyone should mess with. As many fans know, Doug Davidson is very active on social media. He loves to respond to fans and of course, thank them for all of the support he’s received throughout the years. Doug knows that if it weren’t for the viewers, he wouldn’t be where he is today.

The actor also defends his character and will stand up for him at all costs. With that said, Doug didn’t appreciate it when another soap publication wrote on Twitter (during a recent episode): “Love Rey asking Paul these questions, cause they are legit. Paul’s doing EXACTLY what he accused Rey of doing only a few months ago.”

Needless to say, it didn’t take Doug very long to fire back. He wrote, “Except Paul is Chief and doesn’t have to explain an undercover operation to an underlying. You got that?”
Talk about a burn! Paul also retweeted support from his fans that included, “Always great scenes between Victor and Paul because there is so much respect and admiration between Eric and Doug! Their scenes together (which are too few) are made of gold. These are the scenes we fans tune in to see.”
Another social media followers wrote, “I wish the writers understood how important you and Paul are to us fans. I know that they read social media, just choose to ignore it. That’s a pity because you are a rock star.”
