‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that fans all can’t help but wonder the same thing: what is going on with Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) these days? One moment it seems as though he is heavily invested in a case and before you know it, the character is gone for several weeks at a time. Even though he was once one of the most important characters on the show, a lot of people can’t help but wonder if this means Paul Williams is losing his influence in Genoa City. Actor Doug Davidson, who plays Paul on the hit CBS soap, seems to agree that there isn’t enough Paul in front of the cameras. As a matter of fact, he often echoes his fan’s sentiments in wanting to see more of him on the canvas. Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened as the major story lines have focused more on the drama surrounding the Newman and Abbott families.

Just recently some of Doug Davidson’s fans have left comments on Twitter that have included, “Doug Davidson on recurring? Seriously? You bring back who adds ZERO to the show! Other character that bore us to tears, yet a 40 year veteran you mistreat? I may have to stop watching until Paul is on!”
Another fan wrote, “I still wish they would establish continuous scenarios at the Genoa City PD. They need to have a set for Paul and have a police presence on the soap. It’s a big city where there is always crime.”
While producers for ‘Young and the Restless’ have made no comments about the issue, there’s always the chance that Paul Williams could get transferred to the Port Charles Police Department or better yet, the fictional Los Angeles Police Department set in ‘Bold and the Beautiful’. We hear there’s a person by the name of Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) who has been stirring up some serious trouble over there!
