‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveals that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) just can’t keep from letting his emotions run wild. He can’t control his temper very well, and Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) is going to use that to get Nick out of the way.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: One Step Ahead
Cameron Kirsten’s return to Genoa City has been terrifying for Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and infuriating to Nick Newman. Cameron has been playing mind games with Sharon, reminding her of the times that they had together.
He also has met her and told her that he still wants her. He has never stopped thinking of her and is back in town for her.
Nick tells Cameron to back off and leave Sharon alone. Cameron says that Nick has no right to say such a thing because Nick and Sharon aren’t together anymore.
He tells Nick that his plan is to seduce Sharon. They both tell Cameron to go away, but he has clearly gotten under their skin.
Cameron seems to have things well planned out. While Nick has asked the GCPD and Newman’s security team to help Cameron stole a Newman security uniform from a guard he put out of commission.
He manages to sneak onto the Newman property and poison Faith Newman’s (Reylynn Caster) cat. This is the tipping point from Nick, who can’t sit back and wait for Cameron’s next awful move.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: The Altercation
Nick goes to Cameron’s suite at the Athletic Club. He never should have done this, but he is furious about the cat. He wants Cameron to leave town and he tries to threaten Cameron.
As he does, he punches the wall for good measure, bloodying his knuckles in the process. Instead of out-thinking Cameron, he reacts with emotion and angry which is only going to land him in heaps of trouble.
Cameron hires someone to come and beat him up. His face is bruised and bloody and he reports an assault. He tells the GCPD that Nick Newman assaulted him, and he wants to press charges. Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) has no choice but to arrest Nick, and Cameron snickers about it the whole time.
Nick really is making big mistakes in this situation. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is a powerful businessman in Genoa City with a lot of resources. Nick doesn’t really value Victor’s help because he believes he’ll be beholden to his father, but his father’s cool and calculating mind could be much better at dealing with a villain like Cameron.
Couldn’t a man as powerful as Victor Newman just make a problem like Cameron “disappear”? Instead, Nick is out there making everything worse. How can Nick protect Sharon and Faith if he is behind bars? This is exactly what Cameron needs to carry out his next step.
