‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) had to set the record straight on Twitter, telling views that she was indeed NOT Phyllis Summers and that she was just a character she played. She began by saying, “I would like to introduce myself to some of you folks. My name is Michelle Stafford. It is not Phyllis Summers. That is a character I play.”
She continued to tell people that if they wanted to hate, they could take it somewhere else, “I am not responsible for that character’s actions. So you can throw your hate somewhere else…God Bless”

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’s’ Krista Allen commented on the post, “Wait!!!!! You’re not really Phyllis??!! OMG .. that means … I’m not really Taylor Hayes?!! I better tell Ridge Forrester.”
While fans wrote, “This reminds me of Friends when Brooke Shields was on thinking that Joey was really Dr. Drake Romoray And I have to say, I wish you were still on GH. I LOVE you as Phyllis but I miss you as Nina. You were definitely better than Cynthia“, “I hate that you feel it necessary to make that tweet. Please keep in mind that most of those that watch Y&R are reasonably intelligent people who know the difference between an actor and her character. We have a great deal of respect for you and your talent“, “Michelle i agree to strongly agree! its crazy that some people cant separate the 2 and realize that it is a role u play 1 brought 2 life by your gift as a phenomenal actress speaking of which love scene of u from your blockbuster movie” and “You’re only responsible for bringing her to life in a hilarious, unique & committed way that entertains the heck outta me. I’m sorry that people can’t differentiate. How embarrassing for them.”
