‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers confirm that Lucas Adams, who recently joined Y&R as the new Noah Newman, is expecting his first child with his wife, Shelby Wulfert.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Adams And Wulfert’s Baby Is Due In February 2026
The happy couple announced to People magazine that their baby is due in February 22026. The big news was revealed in a sweet beachfront maternity shoot that the parents-to-be shared with the publication.
The pair has opted to keep the gender of their new baby under wraps for now. In the photos, Wulfert shows off her considerable baby bump as she’s well into her pregnancy.
In the carousel of photos, the couple was strolling along the beach together. “We could not be more excited about the news,” the mother-to-be shared in an Instagram post.
In one snap, Adams kisses his wife’s belly, and the sonogram is also featured.
Adams and Wulfert first met in 2015 on the set of the Disney Channel series Liv and Maddie. Adams played the recurring character of Josh Wilcox, and Wulfert worked as a body double for the show’s star, Dove Cameron.
Apparently, Adams and Wulfert are both huge “Star Wars” fans. They also love to play video games together. Wulfert especially enjoys watching her husband play.
The actor warmly described his special bond with his then-girlfriend,
“She’s my best friend, so the fact that I’m able to have a relationship with her, and we’ll just hang out, and we’ll want to tell each other everything, is just mind-blowing to me. It’s great.”

In July 2021, Adams popped the question and Wulfert responded with an enthusiastic “yes.” The pair were on a trip together with their dog, Lando.
Adams told Soap Opera Digest at the time,
“I had this ring in my back pocket, wondering how I’m going to get it out of my pocket and how I’m going to do this.”
Adams explained that they had been waiting for Lando to finish drinking his water, and he said, “Well. Lando needs more water.”
Wulfert said, “I’ll go get it.” Adams said he had planned the proposal perfectly. She filled the pup’s water bowl and started to look off into the distance.
Adams said,
“She turned around and I was on my knee and she said with tears in her eyes, ‘Of course I will, baby.”
The ring was a very special family heirloom. It was Adams’ grandfather’s ring that he had given to his grandmother.

Adams shared, She passed away when I was eleven, and I had asked him about a year and a half ago if he had any rings left that he would be willing to let me use.”
He told SOD,
“He brought me one the next summer, so I had the ring for about a year before I asked her. I didn’t want to ask her during quarantine. I had it in my closet for close to a year.”
The couple was married in October 2022 in Texas. Now, they are eagerly awaiting the birth of their first child.
Wulfert told People shortly after their wedding, “This marks the beginning of really building our family together and what that means for us. We want to have kids in a couple of years, so we’re starting to prepare for the next chapter of being parents. The next chapter of our lives.”
