‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is back and is wanting to reconnect with her son, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Only one thing… She has come back from the dead. This has angered some fans as they are tired of this cheap cop-out, but listen. Diane needed to come back, and here’s why.

The storylines lately have been, how do we say, very slow and lame. From ridiculous child storylines with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), to lackluster marriages, we needed the drama.

There are only so many times that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) can run around and sneak on people. Let’s be honest. Her last enemy was Abby and that barely lasted as they fought over the hotel. Phyllis has been losing her mind and burning through friends and boyfriends. She needed her nemesis back.

Now, we are in for some excitement, especially as Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is returning to Genoa City and will be reconnected with his mother who he thought was dead. Not only that, there’s a rumor that Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) will be returning as well, which has some fans thinking we will be seeing a team-up between the two trouble makers making Genoa City exciting again!

The only thing is we hope it doesn’t hurt Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) in the long run. The poor guy needs a break!

At the same time, Diane Jenkins says she’ll be staying awhile in Genoa City, and that’s fine with me! Let the craziness commence!
