‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that the series seems to be undergoing a renaissance of sorts with the storylines lately. Not only did he get an amazing throwback with Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby), but now we’re exploring a darker storyline with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) losing her baby.
While of course, these have been stressful and heartbreaking stories, they’ve elevated the show.
It’s been nice to get away from the boring business offices and the love triangles that we don’t care about to dive back into an old style storyline with action, drama, and pain.
It’s been a definite change of pace and one that has been welcoming, but is this just a string of good luck and storytelling or could we see Y&R actually start earning it’s place as the number one daytime soap again?
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Is This A Renaissance Of The Show Or Just A Momentary Lapse Of Great Stories?
There’s been a real change in not just the storylines, but the pacing as well! Instead of dragging out the Cameron Kirsten storyline for nearly a year, we’ve already come to the end of it with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) stabbing Kirsten in the chest herself!
It’s a crazy moment and one that was so satisfying! Of course, she killed him in front of Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), so we have to wonder what’s going to happen next.
Will Sharon be arrested for killing Kirsten or will Chance turn a blind eye considering the situation and Sharon can continue on with her life, free from the horrible haunting of Kirsten!
It’s a toss up and we have to imagine that Chance will show some mercy on Sharon, especially since they’ve been growing closer together over the past few months. It will be interesting to see who Sharon ends up with or if she winds up behind bars!
What do you think? Should Sharon go to jail for murdering Kirsten in front of Chance and Nick Newman or do you think he will grant her some mercy considering what she was put through? Let us know in the comments below.
