‘The Young And The Restless (Y&R)’ spoilers show that it looks like we’re finally done with the COVID-19 regulations and the actors and actresses can finally touch and kiss each other as we saw with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil)!

While we were glad to have the show back on after just a little over a month or two, it was different and pretty weird. It was odd seeing Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) go through chemotherapy and her bout with breast cancer while her boyfriend/husband Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) was relegated to just standing across the room and watching his wife cry alone.

It’s been a weird, long year and after seeing Billy and Lily embrace, it almost felt weird. Weird because we’ve been so conditioned to the six-foot rule and everything else that had taken place over the last year.

Though it looks like at long last, we’ll finally be able to get back to our normal performances and maybe that will help with the show writers moving forward. While we’ve been pretty critical of the writers, (and from what I’ve been told, it’s been on a downhill slide for years), they were put in a particularly tough spot this last year with the COVID-19 rules.

Hopefully, this will make the performers more comfortable again, and they can begin actually showing some kind of emotion! It feels good, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of this year brings!
