‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Josh Griffith shared with TV Insider his Y&R 2026 preview, packed with plenty of soapy drama, as viewers are in for a wild ride!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Victor and Jack Are Forced to Join Forces
Matt Clark, aka Mitch Bacall (Roger Howarth), has an epic downfall in 2026, but not before causing more trouble for the Newman family and adding some new enemies to his hit list.
Griffith promised that the storyline is
“Heading toward a huge showdown that will incorporate a lot of aspects of the past in a very dramatic way.”
That said, Matt’s reign of terror may bring a beloved supercouple back together. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman(Sharon Case) will need to determine once and for all whether they belong together.
Meanwhile, Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) and Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) think they’re in love, but we see more sparks between Noah and his former flame, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). Will they drift toward each other once again?
Elsewhere, the infamous rivalry between Victor Newman (Eric Braden) and Jack Abbott (Peter Begman) has been a significant part of the soap for decades. Still, they may come together when a familiar enemy tries to take them down.
Griffith said that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will force Victor and Jack to “have to work together for the greater good.” Can they put their differences aside to defeat their mutual nemesis?

The scribe also warned that there will be “massive fallout” for Jack and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walter). They must contend with whatever Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) do to them.
Griffith divulged that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) must tap into their dark side to help Victor, but Griffith also made it clear that “things go horribly wrong for the Newmans.”
Additionally, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) may be able to persuade the Abbott family to sign over the Marchetti to Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), in exchange for Phyllis stealing back the AI software. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) may have no choice but to appease Phyllis’s wishes.
The head writer also shared that “a big mystery” will impact Devon Winters’ (Bryton James) and Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) marriage. It will involve Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) secret.
Plus, it will also bring Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Grazadei) closer together. They may realize their true feelings for each other.
The mystery will also involve Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell), who will be enlisted to help a character in legal trouble.

Meanwhile, Cane may find himself heartbroken when Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) walks away from him again. Khalil is set to go on maternity leave soon, so her temporary departure from Genoa is inevitable.
Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) works overtime to prevent their big secret from coming out. However, Claire continues to press Holden for answers.
According to Griffith,
“When the truth finally comes out, there’s going to be a lot of fallout.”
Additionally, an event will force Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to reevaluate her future with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Whatever goes down between Sally and Billy, Griffith explained that Sally will question
“whether she knows Billy as well as she thought she did.”
Plus, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will need to choose between his loyalty toward Victor and his desire to destroy the AI program.
Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) remain drawn to each other, despite their recent breakup.
Once Claire learns about Holden’s secret, will she be willing to overlook what happened? Will she be able to continue their “situationship?” Claire has no room to judge him, since her past isn’t so squeaky clean either.
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) may find themselves falling for each other again. Do they have what it takes to make it this time?
Also, Griffith has big plans for Jill Foster Abbott (Jess Walton). Walton’s 40th anniversary is coming up in the fall of 2026. He promised he would go all out to honor that significant milestone.
