‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) has had a rough time adjusting since arriving back in Genoa City, and that’s completely understandable based on what he had to experience and went through.
At the same time, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) needs to be stopped. He’s pushing Chance and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) into a position they should never have had to be in in the first place. Devon signed away his rights and he is not legally the father of the child.

Unfortunately, Chance looks like he’s ready to give up and even said to Devon and Abby at the end of today’s episode that he wasn’t ready. I can’t believe they’re making Chance out to be like this. I understand the trauma he’s suffered, but to just want to hand over rights to Devon to father his child seems like such a pansy move to me.
Chance should stand up and fight for his child and for his wife, but he’s ready to bow down to Devon so Abby won’t keep having her feelings hurt? I don’t understand his logic and I don’t think many fans understand either. It seems completely out of his character to do something like this and now Abby knows what he did.
I don’t see Chance and Abby coming back from this. Once your husband has pretty much given up on you and your child, that’s a tough mountain to climb. When Chance texted Devon and went over to meet him, I definitely thought he was going to stand up to Devon and tell him what he’s doing isn’t right. Unfortunately, what we got was negotiating with a terrorist.
