‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) has been struggling to sleep a bit lately, and will wake up with his mind racing and not be able to get back to sleep. This has caused him to look disheveled and exhausted. Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) believes she has the cure, but honestly, this is the most realistic storyline on Y&R in the last few years.

I think we all know that Y&R has been suspect the last few years in terms of storylines. Especially lately… I’m looking at you Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) storyline… However, they’ve finally introduced one that I think many of us can relate to and understand.

‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) Insomnia Storyline Is The Most Believable Thing In 2 Years

Insomnia is something that many of us have experienced and can instantly relate to. While Billy is going through a minor storyline about it right now, it immediately stuck out to me and is finally something we can relate with. While it’s most likely due to him not having enough things to do and his mind is racing to look for work, it was a nice break from donors trying to claim parental rights over children and people making “business dealings” all day.

It will most likely be cleared up soon as Lily has given him something to work on but I took a sigh of relief for the moment. Now, we’ll be back to the “business” mumbo-jumbo surely. I just couldn’t remember the last time I related to a storyline. It’s been so dull and drug out that it felt a little too close to real life, am I right?

What do you think? Can you relate to Billy’s insomnia at all and what would you like to see from the show in the future? Let us know in the comments below.
